It seems to me

That being the number 2 man in any organization is bad. Especially in terrorist organizations. These poor guys can’t catch a break. It’s as if they are told they are the number two man and maybe get their own nachos and *maybe* an extra piece of ass from time to time in compensation for basically getting thrown under the bus anytime the US gets too close.

Why do terrorists hate the #2 man? Seeing as we never seem to catch the #1 guy (Saddam Hussein doesn’t count as he was clearly no longer a threat and his death was just showboating on our part, much like when the bad guys of pro wrestling have managers that get their asses kicked for being annoying), it seems like you would never want to go too high in the terrorist ranks. Seems like there’s too much risk and not nearly enough reward. How can you possibly want to move upward in an organization that treats their number twos like number two? And don’t even bullshit me about hoping to be on top someday. If there’s ever an opportunity to be number one in a terrorist organization, you’re going to have that honor for all of about five minutes, just before a tank knocks in the walls of your headquarters.

I guess middle management really is what you ought to be shooting for no matter what. You’re not important enough to take the blame, but too important to be doing all the hard work.

Terrorists, can’t we build some unity on this obvious universal truth? Can’t we put the guns down for just a second and realize that middle management is who we ought to be upset with? Those fuckers get away with everything.
